Maverick Sun has made our popular open ballast even better! Our customers asked for this and we responded. We incorporated into the handle the female plugs so now the Open Remote Ballast is “plug & play”. It has the same high quality components as our premium extruded aluminum ballast and uses the standard lamp cord female plug. The Maverick Sun Open Remote Ballast no longer needs to be wired by a licensed electrician!

This ballast runs cooler because of the lack of case around the components. If the hobbyist grower takes care to avoid water getting to the open ballast, it will give excellent performance. If you are looking for a remote ballast with top components at a very low price, this is the best choice.
